We've purchased several mattresses from you over the years.
Back in '14 we purchased a 'Simmons Beautyrest Recharge Classic Flatbrook, Luxury Firm" in twin for our daughter. It was reasonably priced ($699) and is very comfortable.
We had also previously purchased a twin Beautyrest Trinity Park in 2010 from you.
We are looking to replace the Queen size mattress that my husband and I sleep on.
It's now about 17 years old.
I am hoping to find something similar in comfort to the ones above.
I know the mattress brands change model names all the time.
Can you recommend a product comparable to the above, hopefully one that is beneficial for those who suffer from lower back pain.
I have been experiencing that for about a year, and wondering if my current mattress may be part of the problem.
Thank you in advance,
Changes of model names and small changes in specifications was the norm in the old days…old days being when Simmons was owned by Simmons and when Sealy was owned by Sealy. Unfortunately, the old days have disappeared.
An investment group owns Simmons and Serta.
Tempurpedic owns Sealy and Stearns and Foster.
None of the mattresses you bought in the past have any memory foam in them.
Not having memory foam is why they’ve lasted for so long.
Memory foam is specifically designed to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing.
Any because memory foam returns when you get out of bed, you’ll not likely to prevail in a warranty claim…you simply have to buy new.
This diabolical approach has created a boon for the industry and a nightmare for the consumer…all that without even mentioning the toxic chemical off gassing.
Memory foam consists of 61 different chemicals…some, of which, are highly toxic.
Carcinogenic Formaldehyde and Benzene being 2 of the most dangerous.
Let me recommend to you, the same mattress my wife and I sleep on at home.
These were the highest quality mattresses we could find while shopping at the industry trade shows…something we were forced into when the industry went bad.
The Natura of Canada Greenspring Ultra Plush Mattress is very comfortable without being too soft.
All natural materials are used, so there’s no chemical off gassing.
This mattress provides excellent support, comfort and longevity.

I thought I had read on your website that you recommend getting a mattress with a minimum number of pocket coils for adequate support (unfortunately I can't find this info).
The mattress I had been looking at has about 800 pocket coils but the sales person is recommending the Beautyrest Unity Coast mattress which has 1100 coils for better support (it's also more expensive).
Does the number of pocket coils matter?
Also the Beautyrest is made with "Seaqual Sustainable Panel Fabric made from recycled plastic water bottles" - do you know if there are any issues with this type of fabric (off-gassing/toxins)?
Thanks so much for your help!
No bother, at all.
The more coils you have, the better the support.
However, Simmons does not temper the steel they use to make the coils.
And, their plush models use a much thinner gauge wire than their firmer models.
The thing that gives you toxic off gassing is the memory foam upholstery they use.
Keeping your mattress clean and dry will increase its longevity.
We recommend our Organic Cotton Waterproof Mattress Protector.
