Hi Mark,
In 2008, Sealy was using synthetic latex, made in a plant in PA that Sealy owned.
There’s nothing wrong with synthetic latex. It’s a molecule clone of natural latex.
Their latex mattresses were marketed under the Sealy and Stearns and Foster labels.
(Sealy had acquired S&F quite some years earlier.)
The people who owned Sealy, sold their company to Tempurpedic in 2013.
As of January 2014, everything made using the Sealy and S&F labels also included memory foam…even their latex lines.
We had been a Sealy/S&F retailer for many years, up to that point.
When Tempurpedic bought Sealy/S&F, we stopped selling both brands.
While shopping at the industry trade shows, we found the Natura of Canada line of Latex Mattresses.
These mattresses exceed the specifications of the Sealy latex mattress you’re looking to buy.
The core is Pure Dunlop and the comfort layers are Blended Talalay Latex. (70% synthetic/30% Natural)
Of them, the Blossom Plush is the most popular model.
