I want to purchase the correct size mattress for our bed.

I've bought many mattresses in the past and they did not fit the bed I have too well.

We don't offer that service at any price.

Many bedsteads, especially older ones, were generously cut to allow for extra wintertime blankets and comforters, without losing the look of the bed.

Almost all mattresses are only available in standard sizes. 71" is unusually short.

 

Standard stated measurements for mattresses are:

Twin…38” x 75”

Twin-XL…38” x 75”

Full (aka Double)…54” x 75”

Queen…60” x 80”

King…76” x 80”

California King…72” x 84”

Actual, finished measurements can vary a little.

 

I recommend is the Wolf Brolynn Old Fashioned Two Sided Mattress in Plush, which measures 74.5" long.

Twin, (aka, single)...38" x 75"

Twin-XL. (half of a king size)...38" x 80"

Full, (aka, double)...54" x 75"

Queen...60" x 80"

Standard, (Eastern) King...76" x 80"
