She would like something with medium firmness; she is close to 60 years old, and is a bigger girl.

Would you please suggest a couple of options?  

It seems like everything is now memory foam, which I remember you did not like at all.  

I gather (from your website) that you are partial to the Natura line. It may be above my budget.

Latex was hit hardest during the pandemic, with supply disruptions and price increases. 

However, there’s still nothing like the feel and durability of latex.

EverEden was so badly affected, they switched to memory foam, which is thee thing to avoid. 

So, we no longer sell that brand.

 

We did pick up a line of advanced memory foam mattresses that are made in Italy. Magniflex.

They are chemical free and not temperature sensitive...the two reasons why I don’t like memory foam.

They call it MemoForm.

I don't recommend any all foam mattress for a 60 year old.

At that age, there are bound to be some worn discs that require the support of innerspring mattresses.

 

A cheap, throw away mattress has no value. 

Under a larger person, a cheap mattress will need such frequent replacing, that it ends up costing a lot more in the long term.

I have a very good quality, lower cost option for you.

The Wolf Tulah Luxury Plush Eurotop Mattress strikes me as being the kind of mattress you’re looking for…well made, but much more reasonably priced.

This mattress uses the same type of coils, so there’s no sacrificing support.

The upholstery is Certi-Pur Certified Safe polyurethane, which is less expensive than latex.

The specifications of this mattress is what’s commonly found in most hotel mattresses.

There are a variety of memory foams being used in today's mattresses.

The worst, which is also the most common, is chemical based, which accounts for the smell.

The smell is the off gassing of the toxic chemicals used to make this type of memory foam.

So, it's not just a bad smell, it's health hazard. 

 

There is available, plant-based memory foam that doesn't smell or off gas.

However, the problem of premature wear and sleeping hot still remains.

It's the temperature sensitivity of memory foam that causes these problems.

Most memory foams react to your body heat, which causes you to sink into it and then reflects your body's heat back to you.

There are a variety of memory foam mattresses out there to be had.

Most of them should be totally avoided.

Most mattresses made today use the worst type of memory foam for the purpose of selling more mattresses more frequently.

This type of memory is loaded with toxic chemicals and is temperature sensitive.

The toxic chemicals used off gas, creating a health hazard.

Being temperature sensitive causes premature wear and misalignment of the spine, making any back problems exponentially worse.

The sinking in, that this type of memory foam creates, causes numbness in your extremities.

Head to toe hives on a Tempur-Pedic Mattress.
