Hi Pete,
What's the strongest mattress for very heavy people?
I weigh about 350 lbs. My wife is about 300 lbs.
We can’t seem to find a mattress that lasts very long.
Having to replace a mattress so frequently has gotten to be expensive.
I don’t mind spending what is necessary for long term results.
Can you help me with this?
We only need a mattress. We already have a solid base platform bed.
Thanks, Joe
Hi Joe,
I can, indeed, help you.
Over the years, we’ve helped people who weighed in excess of 500 Lbs.
It’s important to understand that a mattress, like any other upholstered product, is pressure sensitive. The softer it is to start, the quicker it will wear.
Most of today’s mattresses, including all of the name brands that you could once trust to make a quality product, are upholstering their mattresses with memory foam.
Memory foam is temperature sensitive, as well as pressure sensitive.
The temperature sensitivity causes memory foam to soften further as it warms from your body heat. This makes the wearing process exponentially faster.
There are are two parts to a mattress…the support and the comfort.
The comfort layers will wear first. So, for the sake of longevity, it’s important to use a latex topper to provide the comfort.
Latex is and has been the most resilient, most durable upholstery material…by far.
My recommendation comes in two parts:
A mattress strong enough to hold your weight.
That very strongest mattress we could find while shopping at the industry trade shows is:
The Natura of Canada Greenspring Firm Mattress
Shown here:
Add to that mattress a removable Suite Sleep Organic Dunlop Latex Mattress Topper.
This will provide you the surface comfort you’ll need to sleep well.
It will last for a few years and is easily replaceable, without having to replace the mattress for many, many years.
The highest quality latex toppers are made by Suite Sleep…Pure, Organic Latex.

I recommend the 2” Medium Soft.
The mattress comes with White Glove Delivery
The topper arrives via FedEx.
There’s no charge for delivery/shipping.

Never:
Use an old box spring/foundation with any new mattress.
Doing so voids the warranty of the mattress.
Always:
Use a waterproof mattress protector.
Your new mattress will last longer if kept clean and dry.
