Can one use an electric blanket on top or under a memory foam mattress or does the heat render the foam to melt
Thanks, Dottie
Hi Dottie,
Memory foam is temperature sensitive. It will soften, allowing you to sink, as it warms.
This will happen from the body heat you radiate. An electric blanket will speed up that process.
If you like a foam mattress and don't want to deal with the problems of memory foam, let me suggest latex.
Latex foam rubber mattresses have been the best type of mattress available since the 1920s.
It's extremely comfortable and durable. It will out-perform memory foam by quite a bit.
Latex is not temperature sensitive. You can use an electric blanket with it.
Here are links to the latex mattresses we carry.
