We bought a Sealy Posturepedic Reserve Two-Sided Mattress for my son, that is now 23 yrs. old.
He loves this mattress. He sleeps on his stomach and loves the firm surface feel, and the firm support.
I can’t find this series from Sealy anywhere. I'm assuming it's no longer being made.
Any thoughts on a mattress that is similar?
Your old two-sided Sealy mattress has no memory foam in it, which is why it held up so well for so long.
You want to avoid any mattresses made with memory foam.
Memory foam wears poorly, sinks in, sleeps hot and off gasses the toxic chemicals from which it's made.
Sealy was sold to Tempurpedic in 2013.
Everything they make, today, is upholstered with memory foam.
And while there is nothing on the market that matches the specifications of your old Sealy mattress, there are mattresses that are well made that produce a similar feel.
