Which Simmons Beautyrest Mattress?

All of the name brands have been sold to investors.

All name brand mattresses are now made for high profit.

The quality that used to be their hallmark no longer exists.

A Mattress for a Heavy Man Delivered to BC, Canada.

I just stumbled across your website looking to purchase yet another new mattress (our fourth in 10 years).

Now, we are going to order from a hotel chain.

We wanted the Ultramatic, but it is $10,000 and it is hard to justify that kind of money for a bed.

 

We have spent up to $4500 on beds though, but they have lasted only two years and lose their support. 

My husband is a heavy guy, 245 lbs., and the beds end up sagging on his side.

He also has restless leg syndrome and tosses from aches and pains all night long.  

He also gets very hot sweats at night.

 

I have neck and lower back issues and have been told to sleep on a hard bed, (preferably the floor) 

But then, I can't walk the next day.  

 

It would be great if you could recommend a mattress that would work for us, and not to be replaced in two years.

Also, if you think the adjustable bed frames are worth the price. 

We always buy a king, but I am wondering if that is half the problem.

Perhaps we should go to a queen size bed. Gosh - that would take some getting used to.

245 lbs. not all that heavy.

You must have been buying mattresses upholstered with memory foam, to only get a couple of years out of them.

Memory foam wears quickly and sleeps hot.

 

An adjustable bed base has very little therapeutic value.

I find them to be a waste of money for sleeping.

If you spend a lot of time in bed, then they’re good for that, but that doesn’t help your longevity problem.

Using an adjustable bed concentrates your body weight in one spot, which causes the mattress to wear faster.

 

You’ve been getting some bad advice concerning your back.

The contouring support of an individually pocketed coil unit will maintain the natural alignment of the spine, which works wonders to relieve back pain.

A hard mattress only makes matters worse.

 

The key to longevity is to avoid any mattress upholstered with memory foam.

Memory foam is specifically designed to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing. 

The heavier you are, the more frequently it needs to be replaced.

 

I recommend for you, the same mattress my wife and I sleep on at home.

Each of us weighing more than 200 lbs. and our mattress is still in like new condition after more than 5.5 years.

What’s more, I sleep and wake without back pain, despite having several disc related back problems.

Hi Andy,

Those are all foam mattresses.

While latex is the best of the foams, no all foam mattress provides the upward, pushback support against your spine, as does the pocketed coils.

If you have any sort of disc related back problems, an all foam mattress won’t help with that.

 

That Expulse layer is unique to Sleep Country. It's poly foam with channels cut into it.

They market it as a cooling layer...giving the mattress more airflow.

Unfortunately, none of that is necessary, as latex does not sleep hot. Only memory foam sleeps hot.

It's all about marketing and having something no one else has.

 

So, what you have there, is a Natura Poly/Latex Hybrid mattress.
