Hi Pete,
In 2006 we purchased a Simmons Imogine Super Pillowtop king mattress set and we love it. We need to purchase another mattress and would like to find one very similar to the Imogine. We use a heated mattress pad so it is my understanding that we should not have memory foam in our mattress. Can you give us the name of a current Simmons equivalent.
Thank you, Alexa
Hi Alexa,
Simmons was sold, 10 years after you bought yours.
The upholstery materials changed, and not for the better.
There is no equivalent to yours anymore.
Everything that is now produced by the owners of Simmons is upholstered with memory foam. They have nothing worth buying.
Thanks, Pete - TME

Hi Pete,
Thank you for your quick response.
What would you recommend that would be most like what I have?
Thanks, Alexa
Hi Alexa,
What you have uses an individually pocketed coil system, which maintains the natural alignment of the body and spine.
THIS, is what has always made a Beautyrest so popular.
And while you can find that with a nice, comfy pillowtop, you won’t find a pillowtop mattress that will produce the same longevity.
Today’s pillowtops lose their comfort and shape much too quickly.
So, in order to most closely mimic what you have in terms of support, comfort AND longevity, my recommendation will come in two parts.
The PlushBeds Luxury Bliss in Medium Firm will supply you with the same type of support that you’ve been used to getting.
Add to that, a Latex for Less 3” Soft Pure, Organic and Hypoallergenic Latex Mattress Topper…a removable pillowtop…for a luxurious surface feel. Together, you’ll get the support, comfort and longevity that you want.
