Hi Pete,
About 4 1/2 years ago I purchased a split Cal King Tempurpedic Mattress adjustable set with a medium firm mattress. I am a 6'1" male and weigh about 215lbs.
Although I have rotated the mattress every 6-9 months, I am not happy with the sinking feeling of the mattress. I sleep better on my firmer couch.
I do not want to get rid of the mattress due to the amount of money I spent on the mattress set. As such, I am looking for a solution to this problem.
I read on your website that all I need to do is add a latex topper to the flip side of this mattress.
Can you please recommend a topper for one side of a split Cal-King mattress?
Thank you, Erik
Hi Erik,
That trick works extremely well, and for many years.
You’ll find the flip side of the mattress to be quite a bit firmer.
I suggest flipping it to see how it feels before deciding on which level of comfort you’ll want. For most people, 2” of Soft Latex is chosen.
Half of a Cal.King may be available somewhere, but not from our sources.
That said, Latex for Less has the lowest prices on high quality, organic latex.
You might find that their cal.king is less expensive than a half cal.king elsewhere.
You can cut their cal.king in half with a good pair of scissors and a strong hand.
Using both halves will keep each mattress at the same height.
Click on this link to view and order that latex topper.
