Welcome back.
Latex was hit hardest during the pandemic, with supply disruptions and price increases.
However, there’s still nothing like the feel and durability of latex.
EverEden was so badly affected, they switched to memory foam, which is thee thing to avoid.
So, we no longer sell that brand.
We did pick up a line of advanced memory foam mattresses that are made in Italy. Magniflex.
They are chemical free and not temperature sensitive...the two reasons why I don’t like memory foam.
They call it MemoForm.
The Magniflex line of Mattresses are shown here:
I don't recommend any all foam mattress for a 60 year old.
At that age, there are bound to be some worn discs that require the support of innerspring mattresses.
A cheap, throw away mattress has no value.
Under a larger person, a cheap mattress will need such frequent replacing, that it ends up costing a lot more in the long term.
We continually search for new and better choices, so I have a couple of very good options for you.
The first is The Williams Mattress Co. York Mattress.
This mattress uses a strong, individually pocketed coil for proper spinal support that’s necessary for older spines. The upholstery is organic latex for long lasting comfort.
This mattress comes with free, white glove delivery.
This mattress is a bit expensive, but more comfortable than the Natura Greenspring.
Here’s a link to that mattress.
The Thomasville Artisan Collection Franklin Mattress strikes me as being the kind of mattress you’re looking for…well made, but much more reasonably priced.
This mattress uses the same type of coils, so there’s no sacrificing support.
The upholstery is polyurethane, which is less expensive than latex.
There’s no memory foam in either mattress.
The specifications of this mattress is what’s commonly found in most hotel mattresses.
UPS Shipping to the front door is free.
Here’s a link to that mattress.
Both mattresses have the surface feel you described and both mattresses ship quickly.
