This is our first review after sleeping 11 nights on our queen size Natura of Canada Greenspring Ultra-Plush mattress and 5” foundation. We ordered it on 1/19/22.
It shipped on 2/15/22, and arrived from Canada to the West Coast by 3/2/22.
I want to share more info than just “we bought it, and like it”! Here are our impressions and review.
While we were looking on the internet at mattresses, we saw that most companies give about 3 months of a trial, and they’ll take it back if you don’t like it.
Initially it was hard for us to swallow that there’s no trial, nor returning the Natura mattresses.
As Pete told us, and we completely agree….“Buying a mattress in this manner requires a leap of faith.
Many people find it difficult to make this kind of purchase.” Eventually we were OK with doing so.
The mattress quality, craftsmanship, and materials are VERY good!
Our 14 year old mattress was a very nice Simmons Beautyrest Black, but the mattress' generous “body sculpting” told us it was time to look for a new mattress.
As we learned, today’s current Simmons Beautyrest Black IS NOT made like ours was 14 years ago, so buying that “same named model” today and expecting the same comfort and longevity, would be a mistake.
Pete advised/confirmed that.
We wanted a mattress that would be as close to the Simmons Beautyrest Black in design as we could get (i.e., TONS of coil springs and latex).
With Pete’s help, and us doing massive research on Natura (and a few others), we chose Natura Greenspring.
The VERY FIRST impression was that this mattress was quite firm.
Pete told us that Natura Greenspring’s are firmer than their name implies, and we agree!!
Pete recommended the Ultra-Plush.
When we think of “Ultra-Plush” we envisioned some super thick ultra-marshmallow topper that you would disappear into. This is NOT that. It is indeed, fairly firm to my wife and I at 130 and 200 lbs respectively. Remember, firm is subjective to each person.
But keep in mind, our old mattress, although comfy, had become too soft.
We have slept in it 11 nights now.
Each night, we slept better and better as we got used to the new firmness (compared to what we had).
We can report that we are BOTH very happy with this mattress, we are sleeping better, and we will not need a latex topper.
So, if you’re concerned about my and Pete’s “firmness” descriptor, don’t worry.
Sleep on it for a while to see how you adjust.
Also, we only have high remarks for how communicative, professional, PATIENT and responsive Pete has been as we hammered him with tons of questions! He was ALWAYS quick to reply with complete answers.
We wanted a bed that was designed so that when the other person turned over or got in/out, the jiggle/movement would be minimal.
This fits the bill VERY nicely as we knew the combination of a coil spring mattress and latex would do!
Our old Simmons Beautyrest Black was phenomenal at not transferring any movement.
Also, we just ordered the organic cotton waterproof mattress cover that Pete sells.
We are happy with our purchase, and we will provide another update a several months from now.
