We don't offer that service at any price.

Many bedsteads, especially older ones, were generously cut to allow for extra wintertime blankets and comforters, without losing the look of the bed. Most mattresses are only available in standard sizes. 71" is unusually short.

You might consider a custom made mattress, which you can find online.

 

Standard stated measurements for mattresses are:

Twin…38” x 75”

Twin-XL…38” x 80”

Full (aka Double)…54” x 75”

Queen…60” x 80”

King…76” x 80”

California King…72” x 84”

Actual, finished measurements can vary a little.
