Of the 4 models in the Natura of Canada Greenspring line, the Ultra Plush is the most comfortable.

That’s the one my wife and I sleep on at home.

Due to the high quality of the components, all 4 models are firmer than they sound.

Both, the coils and latex upholstery are extremely resilient.

 

The Ultra Plush is comfortable without being too soft by anyone’s standards.

The Plush model feels more like a Luxury Firm.

The Luxury Firm model feels more like a Firm.

Closest Match to an Old Simmons Beautyrest Mattress for a Big Guy.

Natura All Latex Mattress Like the Crown Model from 2007.

It is, still, in excellent condition and still extremely comfortable.

Hi Joan,

There are some differences between your Crown and today’s models.

The Crown had an 8” Talalay core and a 2” Talalay top layer.

 

Today’s models are using a Dunlop core, which is a little firmer than Talalay.

A Talalay core is no longer being used.

I recommend the Natura Tropical Plush Eurotop model as a closer match to what you have.

The Gardenia has 2 - 2” Talalay layers...one soft and one medium.

The Tropical Plush has 3” of soft Talalay.

This will give you the softer surface feel, which will be closer to the overall feel of your Crown.

And, the Tropical Plush is closer in overall thickness to your Crown model.

What's more, you can expect the same longevity, as that is the hallmark of a high quality, all latex mattress.

A Soft Latex Topper for a Stearns and Foster Mattress.

The Camdenhurst was a well made mattress. I'm not surprised that you still have it.

The latex topper will do more than provide a wonderful sleeping surface.

It will absorb all of your body weight, which preserves the mattress.

 

Latex doesn’t sleep hot.

Only memory foam sleeps hot, as it is the only temperature sensitive upholstery material.

However, nothing will prevent you from being a hot sleeper, or having hot flashes.

Simmons Beautyrest Mattress Broken Down After Two Years.

Would the Wolf Hybrid be a good mattress for me?

I am petite and have also gone through beds like crazy. 

I can’t comprehend how, at 105 pounds, I make a deeper impression than my husband does at 220 pounds.

 

I am a very hot sleeper, so I don’t know if my body breaks down the foams more readily than he does. 

I am tired of sleeping hot and having neck pain.

If I go too firm, my lower back hurts. But now, I go through pillows and mattresses just trying to heal my neck pain. 

I have a lamb's wool topper on my 14 month old mattress in hopes that I could slow down the breakdown of the pillow top. But alas, I have an impression that can’t be compensated for.

Replacing an Old Stearns and Foster Plaza Mattress.

I was on your site because there was a question on your blog from a guy replacing an old Stearns and Foster Plaza mattress.  I had one from approx. 2005.  We got it b/c it was very firm and liked it that way.

 

I recently purchased a PlushBeds Luxury Bliss latex hybrid in medium-firm (firmest it comes in).  

Set it up last night and was surprised at how weak the coils are – the Plaza is way stiffer even 16 years later.  

Overall, the first sleep last night was supportive b/c of the firm Dunlop latex but don’t know if I trust to keep this weak coil system, as edge support which reviews said was excellent is not even close.

 

Looking for suggestions for the Plaza replacement as the PlushBeds may go back during this 100 day trial.

Hi Bob,

We had been a Sealy/S&F retailer for many years, prior to 2013 when Tempurpedic bought both companies. 

We stopped selling those brands at that time.

We then had to go shopping at the industry trade shows to find suitable replacements.

We chose Natura of Canada to replace the S&F line.

Their Greenspring line of mattresses, in particular, replaced the S&F coiled mattresses. 

The specifications exceed those of the old S&F, in both, coils and upholstery materials.

The coil count is higher and the coils are quite firm, using double tempered steel.

The upholstery material is latex, (not made in China).

 

My wife and I have been sleeping on the ultra plush model for more than 5 years.

And despite each of us weighing more than 200 lbs., this mattress is still in like new condition. 

The latex upholstery is very resilient.

In fact, we had to add a soft latex topper to that mattress for my wife’s sensitive hip.

All of their models are firmer than they sound, so be careful.

However, you can always soften the surface if the model you choose ends up being too firm.

A Mattress Recommendation - Back, Hip and Shoulder Pain.

I, too, am over 200 lbs. with a very bad back.

What he requires is a mattress that provides firm support, which does not mean that the surface must be firm as well. A comfortable sleeping surface relieves pressure at the hip and shoulder without sacrificing the underlying firm support.

 

I’m recommending the same mattress my wife and I sleep on at home.

She, too, is over 200 lbs. 

And despite our weights, our mattress remains in like new condition after more than 5 years of use.

I sleep and wake without back pain, thanks to the firm individually pocketed coil system that maintains the natural alignment of the spine.

 

The upholstery material is latex, which is comfortable without allowing you to sink.

Latex is and has been the best upholstery material for the last 100 years.

There is no memory foam in this mattress, which is the worst upholstery material ever invented and most commonly used in today’s mattresses.

 

It isn’t recommended to use old foundations, as doing so immediately voids the warranty of the new mattress.
