Hey there!
We currently have a memory foam cool gel mattress and it’s giving us terrible back pain.
I loved our old queen mattress. It was a Sealy Posturepedic Linsing Plush Pillowtop mattress.
I want something similar for our king bed.
What do you recommend?
I sleep on my back and am 120 pounds.
My husband sleeps on his side and is 220 pounds.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks so much :)
Brandi
Good Morning Brandi,
There is nothing made, today, like that old Posturepedic.
Sealy is now owned by Tempurpedic.
They have loaded everything Sealy makes with memory foam.
It’s the memory foam in your current mattress that’s causing your back pain.
You have a couple of good options.
One is to flip your mattress over. The memory foam is only on top.
The underside of your mattress is firmer and has no memory foam.
This is something you can do today that will relieve your back pain.
The flip side is likely to be too firm to sleep on comfortably.
So, use whatever you have to soften the surface.
If you wake up tomorrow feeling better, then you might consider a latex topper instead of a new mattress.
These latex toppers provide excellent, long lasting surface comfort.
These are currently on sale, using the discount code, sst10, when you checkout.
The 3” Soft is what I’d recommend.
If you do need a new mattress, the one we sleep on at home will work for you.
My wife and I are, both, over 200 pounds. I have lots of back problems.
Our mattress is still in like new condition after 5 years.
I sleep and wake without back pain.
The latex topper arrives via ups.
The mattress comes with white glove delivery, which includes removal of your old mattress.
Delivery is free and there’s no sales tax.
