Hi Pete,
I’m hoping you will be the answer to our search for a new mattress.
We bought a new mattress after much searching online, a little over a month ago.
We spent $1200 on it which is way more than we ever have spent on a mattress.
The first night, I couldn’t make it through the night without going to sleep on another bed in the house.
After that I got used to it but wouldn’t say I was in love with it.
My husband too tried to like it, but he is having knee and back issues.
After getting comfortable he would wake up an hour later and have a hard time turning over.
And it was hurting his back because the mattress sunk in too much for him.
It was considered a luxury firm.
We, unfortunately, had to return it. And of course, they have to give it to charity because they can’t resell it.
That broke my heart but we did find a good organization to donate it to.
I just don’t want to go through all of that again.
My husband is 6’2, 225 pounds and I am 5’6” and 140 pounds. We are both 62.
We know we don’t want any memory foam. They are just too hot on any we have slept on.
He wants a firm mattress and I prefer plush (sure you’ve heard that a million times).
I am willing to sacrifice to insure he can get a good night's rest and not be in pain.
I looked at your website for the different kinds of mattresses and I’m still unsure of what would be best for us.
The old innerspring mattresses were great.
Don’t mind a little comfort on top just as long as he doesn’t sink down into it.
Thanks for your help, Diana
Hi Diana,
The problems with the sinking, not being able to turn over, the back pain...all thanks to the memory foam.
Had you kept it longer, the list of problems would have gotten longer, as well.
I have a very well made mattress that both of you will enjoy.
The individually pocketed coils are firm, made of double tempered steel.
The upholstery is comfortable enough to cushion the curves of the female body.
Firm contouring support that maintains the natural alignment of the spine...reliving your husband’s back pain...and soft enough at the surface to make you comfy.
The upholstery is a combination of latex and poly foams...NO Memory Foam.
Here is a link to The Wolf Tulah Plush Eurotop Mattress
Shipping is free and there’s no sales tax.
We recommend using a waterproof mattress protector with every mattress.
Keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry will extend the life of the mattress.
Thanks, Pete
