A High Quality Mattress for Heavy People at a Reasonable Price.

We have had a very bad time buying mattresses. They collapse within several months!

Most of today's mattresses are upholstered with memory foam.
Memory foam is specifically designed to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing.
An average size person is likely to get a year or two for comfortable sleep.
Being a pressure sensitive product, a mattress made with memory foam wears even quicker under heavy people.
As difficult as it is to do, you MUST avoid buying mattresses with memory foam in them.

Queen Adjustable Bed and Mattress. Budget Conscious.

King Mattress and Adjustable Bed Base Delivery Questions.

I have a queen bed, adjustable frame and mattress, at present. 
I'm considering buying a new king size mattress and adjustable bed of your website, and have questions.
When they deliver my new king bed and adjustable bed base, will the delivery crew move my queen set and install it in the bottom bedroom? I, also have an old mattress that needs to be removed. Will they do that?

Hi William,
The Natura of Canada mattresses are the only ones that come with white glove delivery.

When one of these mattresses are delivered, removal of the old mattress is included in the delivery service.
Moving the adjustable bed base to another room, is not something I can order the delivery agent to do.
The offer of a decent tip might produce the desired result.

A Good, Cheap Mattress for our Large College Student.

Our son, a rather large college student, is in need of a good quality mattress that is cheap.
That is to say, inexpensive....not cheaply made.
He is much too large for the mattress that is in his dorm room. He sinks right through it.
I need something for him in twin-xl that is firm. He's a stomach sleeper and likes a form mattress.
What do you recommend?

I have just the thing....a well made pocketed coil mattress with coils made of tempered steel and a good coil count.
There is no memory foam in this mattress, so he won't sink through it.
It's an old fashioned, two sided mattress...like they made in the old days.
It'll hold up well to a large person, and you can order that in "firm".

Natura of Canada Greenspring Mattress with a Magniflex Adjustable Bed Base.

Hi Elena,
The Magniflex adjustable bed base is a from a different manufacturer than the Natura of Canada Greenspring mattress.
They will ship separately. The adjustable bed base will arrive before the mattress, via UPS.
It comes in 3 boxes and minor assembly is required. You and your husband will have no difficulty setting it up.
 
The Natura of Canada Greenspring mattress comes with white glove delivery, which includes removal of your old mattress.

Mattress Advice for Back Pain and MS.

Hello Peter,
I’m hoping you can help me. I’m just looking for advice as I live in the UK. 
I don’t think you supply to Britain, but having read all your useful advice I’m hoping you can help me.
I had spinal surgery, a few years ago, and have now been told I will need to have the same surgery again. 
This time, on the upper disc’s above the original spinal fusion. 
I am in constant pain which keeps me awake at night. I just need some restful sleep. 
I am a side sleeper, (usually on the right side), with pillows under my back on the left.
My weight is 105 lbs., (7 and a half stone)
What I’m after is advice on what to buy to help alleviate some of the pain. 
I also suffer from MS, Multiple Sclerosis which doesn’t help!
I think I need to be raffled off, as the saying goes here!!
Anything you could suggest would most welcome.

Hello Jayne,
Since I can’t recommend a particular mattress, let’s focus on the components of the mattress...what to look for and what to avoid.
 
You’ll want a mattress that uses an individually pocketed coil unit for support and polyurethane or latex foam upholstery for surface comfort.
Poly foam is good. Latex foam is best.
 
Memory foam, aka Visco foam, is thee thing to avoid.
Contrary to all the hype surrounding it, memory foam is the absolute worst upholstery material ever invented. 
It will, surely, cause your pain to increase.
 
If you are unsure about what you’re seeing, as you shop, feel free to email me the specifications of any mattress you’re considering. I’ll be happy to translate the information therein.

A Foundation for a Latex Mattress.

Since we got married, we have ordered a bed, but aren't sure what sort of foundation to get for it.

The photos don’t show the under carriage.
However, it does look like all you need is a standard foundation.
There’s no better place to buy one, than at Costco.
Their mattresses are worthless, but their foundations are very strong.

Need to Replace a 13 Year Old Stearns and Foster Mattress.

Back Pain with a Hybrid Mattress from a Local Store.

I have been shopping for a mattress. 
I had one for around 10 years that was Kingsdown firm pillowtop and it was fantastic. 
When it was finally worn out, I decided to replace it. So, I went to a local mattress store.  
After explaining that my past experiences with foam mattresses were terrible and I always woke up in pain, the guy sold me a hybrid convincing me that the coils would make the foam more comfortable. 
Unfortunately, I bought it. Now, a month into it, I wake up in pain every day.  
I went back to the store to try to exchange it and they told me that no one even makes mattresses without foam, and that they don't sell any. 
Now I'm on your website and I see that you have a few. 
I want to return the hybrid and get one from you. Can you advise me on what to purchase? 
I like a soft bed with some support. 
My son has a Sealy Posturepedic Grass leaf firm mattress, which we purchased from you, and it's great.

While true, that all mattresses have foam, there are good foams and bad foams.
Memory foam is the bad foam. In fact, it’s the worst upholstery material ever invented.
Unfortunately, for that store, every mattress in their stores in upholstered with memory foam.
 
Polyurethane foam had been the standard foam used from around 1970 until about 10 years ago. 
The best of the foams is latex. That has been true for the last 100 yrs.
 
We specialize in mattresses that have no memory foam.
For the sake of quality, and not experiencing what you have experienced, most are upholstered with latex.
 
The individually pocketed coils contour to the shape of the body and maintain the natural alignment of the spine...the key to back pain relief.
But that coil system topped with memory foam renders it worthless.

Simmons BR Black Ava with a 3" Vytex Dunlop Topper was Perfect.

Hi, Peter.  
I'm a returning, happy customer.  
In early 2016, I took delivery of a Cal King Simmons BR Black Ava with a 3" Vytex Dunlop topper.  
It was so perfect that when I had to move less than a year later, I couldn't take a Cal. King set with me. 
I gifted that Cal.King set to my daughter and her new husband who is 6' 3", and they still love that set so much!  
That's the good news.  
 
The bad news is I had an accident in late 2016 that resulted in mobility issues. 
I now have extreme swelling in both of my legs (lymph nodes missing behind my knees).  
I was gifted a Queen size Beautyrest, Recharge World Class, Vanderbilt Collection Keaton, Luxury Firm Pillow Top.
I bought a 3" Dunlop latex topper on Amazon for $319, but I haven't been comfortable in the bed since day one. 
I don't think the latex topper is sturdy enough to hold my weight up from the mattress.
 
On October 27, 2020, I am moving to Bellevue, Washington to be close to my daughter and grandbabies.
I need to buy a new mattress set and have it delivered directly to my new studio apartment in Bellevue.  
Because I am struggling to lift my legs to get on top of the Queen size bed, I'm thinking about getting a Full size.
Budget is a concern, but I also need to be able to sleep as well as I did in the 2016 set I purchased from you.  
I was 5' 10" tall, but spinal compression makes me now barely 5' 8". 
I wear compression devices on both my legs and have a service dog, so I need a heavy duty mattress.

I’m sorry to hear of your accident.
It’s a pity you had to give up your mattress.
The Black Beautyrests have a much stronger coil unit than the World Class.
The latex topper is for surface comfort, not support.
It’s the mattress that isn’t strong enough to hold you.
 
My recommendation is to replace that mattress with a stronger one. 
You'll continue to use that latex topper for extra surface comfort.
Your foundation doesn’t need to be replaced.
 
I have a mattress that will do the job and, it’s reasonably priced.
