Hi Pete,
I suffer from DDD, Migraines, arthritis and take a hormone blocker for breast cancer that gives me general aches.
We have a firm mattress that is probably around 10 years old.
It's starting to show signs of indented body outlines.
I sleep on a pillow that has a hollowed out center for your head when you lay on your back.
Every morning, when I get out of bed, my body hurts so bad I have to sit on side of bed to try to move.
My neck is so bad, I can’t turn it to the right, and see a chiropractor to try to make it turn.
My Upper shoulder muscles have knots. I get Botox for my migraines.
The neurologist always places some across the band of muscles at base of skull, as well as along my traps.
My neck has lost its curvature due to my muscles being so taught for so many years.
Last night we slept on the Heavenly mattress at the Westin Hotel.
I came home fully anticipating to buy one. I have never slept so well.
My body did not hurt at all and I had full range of motion on my neck! I was just ecstatic.
Then, I read the information on your page about it being great for 1 night but not for much longer as it it’s too soft and will cause back pain. I was devastated.
Can you please help me determine what type of mattress we should by as well as recommend a mattress Topper that may help get us a few more months or a year with current mattress.
Kindest regards, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
It sounds like a topper is the first step.
A good one should relieve many of your aches and pains.
It has to be soft, chemical free, and remain like new for a few years...wearing slowly.
The EverEden 3” Soft all natural Vytex Dunlop Latex Topper is the one to get.
Shown here:
100% All-Natural Vytex Dunlop Latex Mattress Toppers. Ever-Eden’s Vytex Dunlop is, virtually, Allergen Free. And while the Vytex Dunlop comes in the same 2 choices of comfort levels, Dunlop is a more dense material and does not have as supple a feel as the Talalay Latex Toppers.

There’s no point in discussing a mattress at this time.
Things change regularly in this industry.
The topper should be all you need for, maybe, years.
You might try the topper on both sides of your mattress and use it on whichever side produces the better result.
You’ll, likely, to be able to use that same topper on whatever mattress comes next.
We recommend using a waterproof mattress protector with every mattress.
Keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry will extend the life of the mattress.
Thanks, Pete
