Hi Pete,
Wow! I can't get over how expensive mattresses have gotten, since I bought mine 10 years ago.
There's no way I can afford to spend thousands of dollars for a new mattress.
I'm a small, sided sleeping female with a mild case of fibromyalgia.
I need to get the best quality mattress I can, but at a reasonable price.
Surely, a good mattress can be had without spending big bucks.
Thanks, Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth,
The key to quality is in avoiding mattresses upholstered with memory foam.
It's the marketing of memory foam that has caused those very high prices.
Somebody has to pay for all that advertising....which is always the consumer.
Memory foam is a poor quality material that sleeps hot and wears quickly.
It's designed to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing....but, not under the terms of the warranty.
Memory foam sinks in pretty far, throwing off the alignment of your spine, causing back pain and aggravating fibromyalgia.
The diabolical part of memory foam, is the way it returns when you get out of bed.
Since it is highly unlikely to meet the criteria necessary to prevail in a warranty claim, the warranty is useless.
Since it's been 10 years since you're last purchase, it's important to know what to avoid buying.
Memory foam is used in all the major name brand mattresses and most others, as well.
So, without all the hype and hoopla, a good quality mattress without memory foam can be had at a reasonable price.
The best of my reasonably priced mattresses, is the Wolf Pocketed Coil/Latex Hybrids.
The softer of those two, is the Tulah model.

At an even lower price, is the Wolf Old Fashioned Two Sided Brolynn.
For your size, and to cushion your fibromyalgia, I recommend opting for the "Plush" model.

Shipping if free and there's no sales tax.
We recommend using a waterproof mattress protector with every mattress.
Keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry will extend the life of the mattress.
Thanks, Pete
