Hi Pete,
I'm so thankful to have found your blog and website.
I was sold a Tempurpedic memory foam mattress, with the promise that it would relieve my back pain.
For the first few months, it worked just fine.
But now, after the trial period has ended, my back pain returned with a vengeance.
It's worse than it was before I bought this hunk of junk.
The store, where I bought it, won't help me.
So, I went to the internet to find out what happened.
That's where I found you, and discovered that the memory foam is the worst thing to buy for a bad back.
My question is, do I need a new mattress or can I get away with one of your Pure Bliss latex toppers?
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Ella
Hi Ella,
You may not need either. Let's find out.
The first thing to do is to flip your mattress over, today.
The memory foam is only on top. The underside is high density polyurethane foam.
The flip side is very firm. It's likely too firm to sleep on comfortably. But, your back will improve immediately.
Add to that, whatever you have handy to soften the surface...like a comforter.
If you're ok with that, there's nothing to buy.
I get a lot of emails like yours, from people with the same problem.
Most will order a Pure Bliss 3" Plush Natural Talalay Latex Topper to add to the flip side of their Tempurpedic.
THIS, is a long term solution...adding surface comfort to the underlying firm support.
Here is a link to those latex toppers:
Shipping is free and there's no sales tax.
Thanks, Pete
