Hi Pete,
I am a 21 year old female, about 90 pounds.
I have a long term boyfriend (about 150 lbs) who sleeps with me every night.
I have mild scoliosis and irritated back nerves/back pain.
I’m looking into getting a new full sized mattress, but have no idea where to start.
All of the mattresses, I’ve had, have been hand-me-downs, not to mention twin-sized.
How can I tell what will be comfortable in the long run on my back?.
Are there any specific mattresses that seem suited to my predicaments?
Thanks, Mary
Hi Mary,
The thing to avoid, is memory foam...any mattress upholstered with memory foam.
Despite all the advertising hype to the contrary, memory foam is the worst upholstery material ever invented.
The purpose of using memory foam in a mattress, is to cause that mattress to need frequent replacing.
Memory foam will, in fact, increase your back pain.
Being so light in body weight, you have the benefit of not needing to buy an expensive mattress.
We carry and old fashion two-sided mattress that you can flip, for greater longevity.
The tempered, individually pocketed coils maintain the natural alignment of your spine.
The Upholstery is natural, plant based poly foam.
This mattress is available in plush or firm, or plush one side/firm one side.
The prices, shown, include shipping and tax.
Here is a link to the Wolf Brolynn Mattress...an excellent value.
From The Wolf Company we have to offer Old Fashioned Quality Two-Sided, Flippable Mattresses…at a reasonable price.
