Since 14 years ago, all of the name brands, Simmons included, have been sold to investors.
They've added a lot of memory foam to their mattresses.
Memory foam increases the initial comfort, but shortens the lifespan of the mattress.
It has created a boon for the industry at the expense of the consumer.
