I am 61, 5'6" @ 110 lbs., boney, with fibromyalgia, ddd and arthritis.
I can't stand the Sleep Number Bed or the Tempurpedic memory foam mattress.
I wake up with hip pain with both.
I sleep only on my back due to hip and shoulder pain. My partner could sleep on a bed of nails and be happy.
I would like to know your opinion of what kind of configuration I should try.
Thanks a bunch, Cherie
Hi Cherie,
Neither the Sleep Number nor the Tempurpedic provide the kind of support and surface comfort that you need.
Both rely on memory foam, which is a poorly performing product for anyone, let alone for someone who has the physically sensitive you have.
First, start with a Simmons Beautyrest mattress, which uses individually pocketed coils.
This coil system provides pushback support that will contour to you, maintaining the natural alignment of your spine....unlike the ones you've tried.
You'll add to that an EverEden Pure, All Natural 3" Soft Talalay Latex Topper.
This will relieve all of your pressure points and ease the pain of your arthritis and fibromyalgia.
Latex has been the best upholstery material for the last 100 years. Memory foam is the worst.
The mattress I'm recommending, is the Simmons Beautyrest Platinum Gibson Grove in luxury firm.
Here are the links to the mattress and to the latex toppers.

100% All-Natural Vytex Dunlop Latex Mattress Toppers. Ever-Eden’s Vytex Dunlop is, virtually, Allergen Free. And while the Vytex Dunlop comes in the same 2 choices of comfort levels, Dunlop is a more dense material and does not have as supple a feel as the Talalay Latex Toppers.
