Hi Margaret,
The EverEden 2" Soft Talalay Latex Topper does the optimum job pressure point relief and comfort, for most people...(average or above average in weight).
If you are very heavy or very light in weight, then the recommendation will change to accommodate that.
Here is the link. You can order on-line.
100% All-Natural Vytex Dunlop Latex Mattress Toppers. Ever-Eden’s Vytex Dunlop is, virtually, Allergen Free. And while the Vytex Dunlop comes in the same 2 choices of comfort levels, Dunlop is a more dense material and does not have as supple a feel as the Talalay Latex Toppers.

Thank you for your response, Pete.
I wanted to add that I am an overweight female--about 5 foot, 7 inches and 180 lbs.
With my sciatica, I really want to avoid a sinking feeling in the topper.
Are you saying that the soft or even medium topper provides the support (and spring back) needed to keep one's spine aligned?
If I were to get the more dense Dunlop topper, would you recommend a medium 2" to accomplish spinal support?
Would that provide pressure point comfort? Maybe 3" is better?
Thanks, Margaret
Hi Margaret,
You don't need added support. Your mattress is providing that.
You need comfort.
It's seems to be natural for people to assume that if x amount of something is good, then more is bound to be better.
This is not true.
The 3" tends to create a greater depth of softness, which seems to work only for those who are exerting less pressure.
The 3" is better for a petite female in the 5' 100 lb. range.
For everyone else, the heavier parts of your body sink too far, which throws off the natural alignment of your spine.
Latex is nothing like memory foam.
You don't sink through it. It cushions and contours to you, maintaining your proper alignment.
You are suspended by it. A floating, zero-gravity feel is the best description.
