I am a single female 56 years old with lower back degenerative issues. I currently have a 4.5 year old True Luxury Collection 5 star mattress, that has memory foam on the top. 

I'm 5' 4" and weigh 130 lbs now but weighed 165 when I bought it. It is sagging only slightly, visibly, but my back takes 1.5 hours before I can get out of bed it hurts so badly in the mornings. 

I'm a side sleeper. I thought I would buy the mattress that I mentioned because it is: flippable, has enough coil strength to give me the support that my back is crying out for.

It may or may not need a mattress topper. (I have 2  that I purchased to make my existing situation bearable) and I have limited $ to spend. 

Can you tell me if this idea would be workable for my situation? Or do you have good counsel you could give me about why you might recommend something else?

If they aren't latex, they are likely to be memory foam.

Memory foam will continue to hurt your spine.

Get rid of them.

I read some more of your advice that you have given and I had a question about the Adara vs the Adrian. 

You said to someone that the Adrian was firmer/strong (a bit) and I failed to mention that I also have fibromyalgia, (not an extreme case but it does affect me and my sleep). 

So between the 2 of those, which would you recommend. I intend to buy one today

Good Morning Elayne.

You were reading some older posts.

The Wolf Latex Hybrid models changed a couple of months ago.

Now, both use a pocketed coil.

In fact, the specifications for both are the same.

The difference is that the Adara model uses all natural materials, for that small difference in price.

 

The older post, that you read, was when the Adrian used a stronger Bonnell coil, which is stiffer than the pocketed coils.

My granddaughter has an Adara.

I had the opportunity to take a nap on that mattress, the last time we visited.

It’s extremely comfortable.

Both, your degenerative discs and fibromyalgia will do well on it. And since the components are high quality, that mattress should last you for many years.
