Sealy Posturepedic Encore Plush Mattress at Disney World Hotels

Hi Pete,

I believe the Sealy Posturepedic Encore Plush is the same mattress used at Walt Disney World in the Caribbean Beach Resort – at least from what I can gather online. 

After sleeping on this mattress for 7 nights, our backs are both pain-free! Hasn’t been that way in longer than I can remember.
Any chance you can confirm this is the same mattress for me?
My husband and I would really love to be able to verify that we are purchasing the right mattress before we make such a large investment. 

Would you happen to know the name of this particular mattress in any of our local store?
I’d appreciate any help/advice you can offer us.

Hi Nancy,

You'll have a hard time finding that mattress, as it is at the lower end of the Posturpedic line...containing no memory foam in the comfort layers.

Most of what Sealy makes, and most of what the stores want to sell, are at the higher end, using lots of memory foam.

This is a more recent occurrence, with Tempurpedic buying Sealy in 2013. The 2014 models is when they started using all that memory foam.

It was then, that we stopped selling Sealy. It wasn't worth carrying the whole line for the few remaining decently made models.

To shop for it locally, ask for a "Classic Posturepedic. Sealy identifies that as Level A-3".

Even armed with that information, you have a hard time finding it.

So, here is a link to that mattress...one with and one without a pillowtop.

Pillowtops begin showing body impressions quickly, so I suggest the tight top model.

You can buy it directly through the hotel, but you'll pay, at least, double the price.

Ive been looking for this mattress too, after sleeping like a log on it at Disneyland. The description of the matress you linked to says:
1" SealyCushion™ Extra Soft Foam
1.5" SealyCushion™ Extra Foam
0.5" SealyCool™ Gel Memory Foam Center 1/3
Is that different foam from the memory foam you said they've been adding to everything or has this mattress fallen victim to the foaming of everything since the Tempurpedic buyout?
