The EverEden Soft Talalay is the softest latex topper.
The 3" provides a greater depth of softness than the 2".
They come with a sewn on cover, which has corner straps that hook around the corners of your mattress. This keeps it securely in place.

The latex mattresses that we carry today are all latex...and natural latex. 

The Sealy Springfree Laguna Beach, now a discontinued model, was made of synthetic latex and topped with soft poly foam.

It was extremely comfortable, but had a tendency to develop body impression...due to the poly foam.

There are two that have a similar feel to the Laguna Beach.

What is your firmest mattress? I want an interlocked coil mattress. I don't want memory foam or individually wrapped coils mattress. Extra firm. 

I had a 15 yrs old Stearns and Foster, purchased in 2001, firm, which was great. I later replaced it with a new Heidi luxury firm Stearns and foster but it doesn't work for me. 

They don't make them the same anymore. They use individually wrapped coils and they don't offer the support I am looking for. I look forward to your advice.

"Solo Il Meglio"...Italian for "Only the best"...and one of my grandfather's favorite sayings.

When it comes to products...most any product...it's cheaper in the long run to buy quality.

The over all performance is better and it lasts a lot longer.

This is also true of Latex...of which there are many types.

The EverEden latex toppers are made of the best latex available....100% pure, with no fillers...like clay, which is common with latex imported from China.

They can still refer to it as all natural, because clay is natural. The result is poor performance and a shorter life. You'll find these to be less expensive.

The other type is blended latex...using a combination of natural and synthetic latex....30% natural & 70% synthetic.

You would expect these to be less expensive. They are, in fact, less expensive to make. and, the synthetic latex doesn't last as long as all natural latex.

We use an EverEden 2" Soft Talalay Latex topper at home. It's several years old and in like new condition...and, my wife and I are not light weights.

 

Synthetic blended and Chinese imports, account for most the latex toppers you'll find on line.

Most of what others call "soft", we call "medium"....making our soft talalay latex softer than most others.

If you want a cheaper latex topper, there are plenty to be found.

If you want "Solo Il Meglio", that's what we're offering.

 

And, among those offering the same quality latex as we are....we do, indeed, have the lowest price.

Simmons Beautyrest World Class mattress and soft latex topper.

 

Hi Pete,

I recently went to a hotel and fell in love with the Simmons Beautyrest World Class Felicity II Super Pillow Top Plush.  

After googling this mattress I came across an answer you gave, where you recommended a Beautyrest World Class Raleigh. I have learned that this line has been discontinued.
I am presently sleeping in a 20 year old tube waterbed with mattress top.  

I wake up with a backache every morning and blame it on my age (53), arthritis and slight scoliosis however I'm thinking it might be time for a new mattress.  

While I like a firm mattress I loved the bed I slept in at the hotel. 
Since you are the expert, I would like to know which type mattress you would recommend for my husband and I. I am now leaning towards a Simmons but am not sure which type to get.

That hotel mattress is engineered for comfort, but falls way short when it comes to durability.
Any given hotel room isn't used every night. Even so, the hotel will only get 4 years out of a plush pillowtop Beautyrest. 

In a master bedroom, you'd be lucky to get half that. The pillowtops wear out quickly and the coils in a plush Beautyrest are very thin.
A human body requires firm support for the skeletal system...and a comfortable sleeping surface for relief of pressure points and blood flow and muscle relaxation, for a greater depth of sleep.
You can get those things with the mattress you asked about...for about a year. If your budget allows for a new mattress every year, then go for it. 

However, if you are like most of us, that kind of unnecessary expenditure is unacceptable.
Start with a luxury firm Beautyrest and add 2" of soft Talalay latex topper for the feel you want that will last for many years. 

Latex is extraordinarily comfortable and extremely resilient. So much so, that it will absorb much of your body weight and in so doing, extend the life of the mattress.

Back and Shoulder Pain, All Latex Mattress?

I have an 8 year old Simmons Beautyrest (bowling ball version w pocket springs) mattress, firm or extra firm.  

It has a one inch memory foam topper and another 1.5 inch mixed memory/feather topper on top of that.  

I have sciatica/hip pain and a couple of years ago I was in an accident that broke my collar bone and damaged my shoulder.  

Now I cannot get comfortable at night.  If I sleep on my back, my back and hip hurt.  If I sleep on my shoulder, my shoulder hurts.  

Besides that, I have to rotate the mattress 90 degrees (its a king) every time I change the sheets or I get a "divot" on the side I sleep on.  

I am considering a new, integrated mattress.  

I used to sleep on a Tempurpedic but found it too hard at first and then too giving as the night progressed (I am 6.2, 235lbs).  

Is there an "all-latex" mattress that would give me enough support for my weight yet enough give so I could occasionally sleep on my shoulder?  

And what firmness would be best?  Thanks, Bill.

Memory foam and feathers sink and collapse too easily. It may be that all you need is to replace your toppers with a latex topper. 

An EverEden 2" of soft Talalay latex topper is very comfortable and you won't sink through it. It will hold you up.
An all latex mattress is an excellent option if replacing your mattress.
