I'm 5'7" 165, husband is 6'2" 220. I have scoliosis and joint pain. My husband likes a softer mattress he has sleep apnea and I think we both snore a little.

I am going to try a mattress topper with my Stearns and Foster coil mattress, you recommended the Talalay 2".
Can you tell me what the difference is between the soft Dunlop and the Talalay. They both have IDL ratings of 14-19. Would the Dunlop not relieve pressure?
Would Dunlop feel firm even though both have the same IDL?
Also, I forgot to ask you if we like our topper and decide we would like to replace our Stearns and Foster mattress which mattress would you recommend that would work with the topper?

Hi Jan,
The Talalay process has a freezing step that the Dunlop process doesn't have. The particles are suspended in the Talalay and settle in the Dunlop.
The end result is a more supple feel for the Talalay and a more dense feel for the Dunlop.
For surface comfort and pressure point relief, the Soft Talalay is the best...2" is all you'll need.
