Hi Pete,
Reading your comments regarding latex toppers with great interest. However, I am wondering about possible latex allergy issues.
I know I have sensitives to gloves, tape, etc., so I am hesitant to even begin the process of bringing one into my home as a solution for fibro and other comfort issues.
Any thoughts you can share?
Best Regards, Susan
Hi Susan,
A latex allergy is strictly topical, which is why you are reacting to gloves and bandages.
The allergen is the protein that is naturally in the sap from the rubber tree, from which latex is made.
During the processing of turning that sap into latex foam rubber, so much of the allergen is removed, as to make it hypo-allergenic.
Almost all of our latex toppers are all natural, and hypo-allergenic, mold and mildew resistant and anti-microbial.
They are covered in fabric, so the latex never comes in contact with your skin.
We also carry Vytex Latex, which is a newer process, where virtually all of the protein is removed.
If you have any concerns about an allergic reaction, at all, they are laid to rest with All Natural Vytex Dunlop Latex.
