Natura Greenspring Liberty plush mattress.

Hi Pete,
I've been following your blog for awhile now, and really appreciate your advice and suggestions.  

We have a 13 year old Sleep number bed that has become quite uncomfortable due to sagging of the vinyl bladder. 

My husband weighs 225 and gets too warm at night.  I weigh 135 and need extra blankets.  

We had a king water bed first, and the California King Sleep Number bed fit right into the frame. However, it is difficult to pull the mattress out when changing sheets. I have torn the casing sides by gripping the edges to lift it.  

I'm also considering a platform bed or frame. I like what I read about the Natura Greenspring Liberty plush mattress,  although it is a bit pricey. Have you any advice for us?

The Natura Greenspring, which uses an individually pocketed coil system, is ideal for your situation. With a 90 lb. difference between you, the independent movement of the coils will keep you from feeling him when he moves.
And, the Greensping models are better than the Simmons Beautyrest models for durability. The coils in the Natura are twice tempered, while the Simmons coils are not tempered. And, the Greenspring is upholstered with all natural latex...a much more resilient material than the poly and memory foams that are used in the Beautyrests. All this adds up to a product that will hold up well to a big man.

Your bed is an easy fix, if you or your husband are handy. Simply cut down the edge from the 8" it is now...which was needed to hold in the waterbed...to only 1", which is all you need to keep the mattress in place.
This will make it a whole lot easier for you to dress the mattress.
