Found your site after researching mattresses and am hoping you can help us make a good decision. We have had a plush W Hotel mattress with pillow-top that is sagging significantly after 7 years.
At the same time I've also developed neck pains and hadn't put two and two together that the mattress sags and my sleeping position is making things worse.
I'm small, 5'2" 105 lbs, while my husband is closer to 5'10" and 170 lbs. I was previously a stomach sleeper (bad) and am trying to learn to sleep on my back (preferable) or side.
To complicate matters, a Queen box spring won't make it up our stairs, so we are using a split box spring.
Any recommendations on mattress/box springs that might work for us. I'd love to find a comfortable mattress that won't wear out in a few years. So appreciate any help you could provide!

Hi Stacy,
You were on the right track. You just took the wrong train.
A plush pillowtop Simmons Beautyrest is among the worst choices you can make, in terms of longevity.
While initially comfortable, they are designed to sell, but not last.
If you were to go with a firm Beautyrest, the gauge of wire for the coil is heavier and provides better support for your spine. The stronger coil also lasts longer.
Instead on a pillowtop that is filled with poly and memory foam, which is also designed to make the sale and not last, add a 2" layer of soft Latex foam.
Latex is both, extremely comfortable and equally resilient...the very best upholstery material on the planet...and has been so for nearly 100 years. It's the original foam rubber.
For adults your size, we recommend the Simmons Beautyrest World Class Annapolis Place in luxury firm and a 2" soft Talalay Latex foam rubber mattress topper to go with it.
You'll have the support and comfort you want and the longevity that has eluded you thus far.
You'll even be able to go back to sleeping on your stomach.
Check your boxsprings. It's likely that you will need to replace only the mattress.
Here are links to both products. Delivery is free and there's no sales tax.
