My wife & I both side sleepers replaced our 13 yr old queen springwall chiropractic with a comforpedic loft plush. We exchanged it due to hip pain for the tru energy extra firm. We missed the comfort of the gel top and tried a mattress topper (martha stewart) & felt the pain again. Any suggestions?

Hi Kevin,
If that was a memory foam topper, it's no wonder that it didn't help.
You sink right through memory foam, as if it weren't even there.
The only kind of topper that is worth getting, is latex.
Unlike memory foam, latex is not temperature sensitive. Latex doesn't soften from your body heat, as memory foam does. Latex is the most resilient material available.
Two inches of soft latex, and the aches and pains you're experiencing from a too firm mattress, we disappear. Here is a link to that topper.
