Dear Pete,
We are getting some significant sag (particularly on my side) in our old queen
mattress, and it is definitely time for a new one. This point was hammered home
(beyond my chronic tiredness in the afternoons or evenings) on a recent visit to
relatives, where we slept on a "Sealy Posturepedic Cason Bay Premium Firm" mattress,
"made expressly for Sears". We both slept well, and my wife's upper shoulders/lower
neck stiffness that we had been attributing to her typing on her computer much of the
day seemed to go away.
Can you "translate" Cason Bay into something currently offered by Posturepedic, and
maybe make some other suggestions? I'm 5' 11 215, and my wife is smaller and lighter.
I'm a side sleeper (mostly), and she's a back sleeper (exclusively). We live in Brooklyn,
NY, but will soon also be shopping for another Queen for Brownfield, ME.
Thanks, Andrew
Hi Andrew,
The Sealy Posturepedic Cason Bay is a good choice for a guest room, but not a
good value for the master bedroom.
The best on the market is the Simmons Beautyrest Black line.
Any one of the first four models in the line are firm and hold up well. The first
is the firmest.
Here's a link to those mattresses. You can order on line. Delivery is free and
there's no sales tax.
