Hi,
My wife and I purchased a king size Sealy Posturepedic Silver Pointe cushion firm a couple of years ago. Sealy is replacing the mattress for us under warranty due to a big slump on one side and a high ridge down the middle. They will replace it with the closest comparable mattress, or we can pay an upgrade fee for a different one. We are supposed to choose a mattress and call them to see if there will be a fee. Any suggestions on what the closest comparable model would be so we could test it out at a local store? And with the problems we had with the first one, would you recommend an upgrade and which one? I'm 190 lbs and my wife is 120 lbs. Even though I have chronic back problems the plush models seem more comfortable since I sleep on my sides. Thanks for your help.
Hi Dustin,
At your sizes, I'm surprised you had a problem.
Sealy changed their Posturepedic line in June 2011. This time it wasn't just a minor change, it was almost completely re-engineered. The result was not a better mattress.
Sealy owns Stearns & Foster....and I'm sure they will allow you to jump to that line.
I would suggest getting the H level luxury firm tight top model. They will know what that means.
You can try it at Macy's as the Stearns & Foster Ingrid. Be sure you are trying the luxury firm tight top model.
Thanks, Pete
