on the replacement if you have any exp with them and second,
potential alternatives from Stearns and Foster that Macy's offers that might
be better suited to achieve her needs and my needs. Thanks in

Your original problem will repeat itself with this new mattress. The problem being the pillowtop.
Any of the Stearns and Foster models without the pillowtop will hold up better. The exception is the Isabel model, which tends to lose its shape quickly with or without the pillowtop.
That leaves you a lot, from which to choose. Go back to Macy's and try what they have before accepting the replacement.
