Hi, wife and I purchased a mattress 6 months ago. It was a Sealy Posturepedic firm pillow top. The mattress sunk in about 4 inch on both sides, so sealy warrantied it out. The wife and I worried it was going to do it again we ask to change plans and purchase a Serta I comfort firm. It was way to hard and the foam was very hot and our hips were killing us. We really liked our sealy until it sank on both sides. The retailer is giving us another shot to purchase the right mattress, but this will be the last time. I am $2000.00 in to this and that is the amount I have to work with.
About us; I am 6' 3" about 195lb, and a side sleeper. My hips and center back have been hurting and I am hoping for a solution. My wife is 5' 4" and 147lb after having our little girl 6 months ago. She is a side sleeper like me and is also having similar problems with her back and hips.
After reading many post I think firm non pillow top is the way to go, but add padding for comfort. My choices are Simmons, Sealy, and Serta. I would like something that will last. We are getting a king size and have a $2000.00 budget to work with. What do you suggest from those three brands? Please help we are so stressed and tired.
