Is the latex used in the mattress toppers you sell a talalay or dunlop? Is there a real benefit to one over the other? Thanks! Lisa
Hi Lisa,
Dunlop and Talalay are two different processes for turning liquid latex into foam. One uses heat, the other uses cold.
In the heated method, Dunlop, the particles settle a bit...so that you end up with one side firmer than the other.
In the Talalay method, the particles are suspended, for a more even feel throughout.
Both are fine products and latex has always been, regardless of method, the most durable material available.
The only latex to avoid is what's being imported from China. Their quality control is somewhat lacking.
We offer US made, 100% Natural Talalay Latex Foam Mattress Toppers and 100% Natural Dunlop Latex Foam Mattress Toppers made in Sri-Lanka.
