I've been looking at S&F beds and don't really understand the differences in the letter designations on "level" ie: H, J, L, N, P, R, T.
We like the way the estate line feels in person, and the pillow top in particular, but don't want something that's going to sag over time. Help.
Hi Steve,
All mattresses develop body impressions over time. Pillowtops, more so. If you can make your self comfortable on a non-pillowtop model, you will be better served in the longer term.
The letter grades have no meaning, in and of themselves. They are how S&F identifies all their models to their retailers.
Model names will be different at every store. Knowing the letter grade will make it easiler to compare and shop more effectively.
The prices can be quite different when going from a store that offers a true discounted price to one that inflates their prices.
The Estate models start with the N grade. They are all basically the same. What changes among them, primarily, is the specialty padding inside.
N grade 1" of memory foam
P grade .79" of latex
R grade 1" of memory foam and .79" of latex
T grade Nearly 3" of latex and no memory foam
I consider the P grade (our Lucas Park), without a pillowtop it be the best value in the line. Minimal body impressions as being a major factor.
Thanks, Pete
