How are the Stearns and Foster Hotel beds at Macys different than the Luxury collection?
Hi Laura. The S&F line is divided into two sections...the Luxury Collections, which is made up of the first three levels...and the Estate Collection, which includes the top four levels.
Macy's English Meadows, is the starting level in the Luxury Collection. Their Monet's Garden and Carried Away models, are the first two levels on the Estate Collection.
The only thing that differs, from store to store, are the model names.
So much for the regular S&F line that you can shop anywhere.
Macy's also has an exclusive line that can't be shopped. However, the line is very new and very little info is available, except for that which is on their website....for the moment.
Macy's is an extremely large retailer with an extremely large overhead. The need for exclusive products comes from having to charge more for them than they're worth, without having to worry that you'll find them for less elsewhere. You'll find their prices higher on the items you can shop. So, you can imagine the profit structure on the items you can't.
