Hi Peter,I purchased a Sealy Springfree Rivercrest and find it too soft and hot. I am generally a side sleeper with neck and shoulder pain, but also a back sleeper with low back and tailbone pain. I also spend a considerable amount of time in bed either reading or watching tv. The Rivercrest made me feel like I was sinking in quicksand. I am afraid to go the firmer Beachside, because of the hotness of the latex. Previously I had a KingKoil, that I abandoned, because it was too firm and gave me hip pain. I had been sleeping on a Serta conventional spring mattress Now I am looking at the Beautyrest Olivia Plush firm or the Perla pillowtop. Will those be hot and sinky? Can you advise another option? Thank you in advance.
Hi Alyssa. The latex doesn't typically sleep hot. The Rivercrest is an ultra plush, which causes you to sink in a little. That is where the warmth is coming from. The Beachside is a better. It's not quite as soft, so you will be laying more on top of the mattress.
