A mattress store sales person told me that most mattresses sold in the market nowadays, even for brands like Sealy and Simmons, have only one padded side so it cannot be flipped but their store carries Spring Air mattresses that are padded both sides so it can be flipped and therefore will last twice as long as more expensive mattresses. Should I believe him?
Hi Becky. It's like listening to the devil talking, when he mixes lies with truth. The first part of that statement is correct. Most beds are one sided. The second part is not. Spring Air was just recently rescued from bankruptcy....and their close encounter with death was not because they make a quality product. The second part of that statement may be close to true with all things being equal. However, the quality of Spring Air mattresses has always been lower than Sealy...and many others, as well.
