I recently purchased a Sealy Posturepedic Reserve (Cushion Firm) and found it too firm for me as I tend to fall asleep on my back and then move to my side in the night. I purchased a 2" Latex Topper (Taladay)and it made the bed more comfortable, but it seems to heat up while sleeping on it, which can be very uncomfortable. Is this common? I was under the assumption that Latex wasn't supposed to do this. I had heard to stay away from memory foam because of this problem, but that Latex didn't retain heat. Am I wrong? Any info would help.
Hi Kyle. Latex the coolest of all the foams...memory foam being the hottest. Whenever you add more padding, so that you are more in the bed than on it, it's likely to feel warmer. A cotton mattress over both, the topper and mattress, will help to insulate you from that.
