We have had the worst time trying to get a good mattress for my disabled Mother. Have been round and round with the retailer, and here's the scoop.
Have a certified defective Sealy Notable Cushion Firm...wanting to get more support and comfort for her given that we've got the opportunity to return the defective mattress. Mom is a back sleeper only, has severe osteoarthritis of both knees and perhaps other body parts. Is partially disabled due to stroke.
Looking at either Simmons Beautyrest "Hamilton" or Sealy "Shell Harbor" - cushion firm for both.
Please advise and God Bless. Thanks.
Hi Lori. The Beautyrest coils are not tempered and won't hold their shape long. The Posturepedic coils are much stronger. Suggest you get a Reserve Series "firm" and add a 2" latex topper to soften the surface. Besides making it comfortable, the topper will also extend the life of the mattress, since it will be a good part of the work.
