My Simmons mattress is an inch too short

I purchased a Simmons set a couple of months ago and have been bothered by the fact that the box spring extends over an inch past the end of the mattress.  I called the store and the manager says she hasn't heard of that but is willing to try another mattress but I am wondering if I am just going crazy.  Have you heard of this and is it "normal"?  My concern is if the mattress is getting enough support...perhaps the box spring is too long?  They are two twin boxes.  Thank you!

Hello Jeanne, It sounds like your mattress was cut a little short. Other than the look, I don't forsee a problem with support. Did you look in the back to see if the mattress is properly positioned?
