My husband and I have been shopping all stores in our area for a new mattress. I thought I wanted a Stearns & Foster Euro Pillowtop, but we have so few to choose from in our city--primarly low-end and then top of the line at $6,000. We then started shopping Sealy and found a Sealy Springfree Latex 'Trade Wind Villa' at $2,999 (I've not been able to locate this model on the Internet) which felt wonderful; we are unsure about going to a springfree since they are relatively new to the market. Our next choice might be S&F 'Lone Star' on sale since it is an older model (new models are not yet in stock). We would buy online if we were able to try it out before purchase! As we get older (late 60's), we need something softer than we now have; we both sleep on our sides. HELP before we go nuts. Carolyn
Hi Carolyn, The SpringFree mattresses are latex. There's nothing new about that. Latex was first developed in the 1880's and first used as a mattress in the 1920's. It has always been the most durable mattress you can buy...and for most people, the most comfortable. Our model for the one you saw is called Fairway Dunes.
