We have an older Sealy Posturepedic Presidential mattress that we would like to replicate for a vacation home.
With every store I walk into, the salesman shows me a mattress that he says is the same.
Not only doesn't it feel the same, it doesn't feel the same as the last store's Posturepedic where they told me THAT was the same as mine.
Obviously, I'm not getting correct information from the salespeople I've encountered.
Can you help me duplicate what I have?
There are two factors at play, here.
1) Today's salespeople are trained on how to close the sale and little more. Most don't know what is in the mattresses they sell...let alone being able to compare them to older models.
2) Your mattress isn't made any more. Sealy was bought by Tempurpedic in 2013. They loaded everything with memory foam...something your mattress doesn't have in it.
This mattress is similarly made to the Sealy you have, in that it uses a coils system that provides the same support.
The upholstery is all natural latex, which is better than the poly foam in your Sealy.
Most importantly, it contains NO Memory Foam.
The model name is Adrian, which has an interlocked coil system, as does your Sealy Reserve.
Also on this same page, is the Adara model, which uses an individually pocketed coil unit.
The pocketed coil provides a more contouring support, which does a couple of things....maintains the spines natural alignment, relieving pressure points...and, provides some measure of motion transfer reduction, meaning that you'll feel each other move less.
Either one will work for people of your sizes.
Here is a link to that page.
