I was so glad to stumble on this site. We would like a new/different mattress for our master bedroom.
We have the Denver Mattress Doctors Choice pillowtop, from 2003. It's OK, but not great anymore.
While just perusing Craigslist, I found a listing for a 5-7 year mattress that is Sealy Posture Premier Shiloh II.
The seller actually has 3 of them, from her vacation home. She is selling them for 75.00 each. No box springs included.
What do you think of this price and the mattress model I listed?
Would it limp us through another few years until we really want to spend a good amount for a new mattress----and would it at least be better than what we are sleeping on now?
We wake up stiff and with back pain now. Thanks for any advice!! I will await your response asap if possible. :)) Sarah
The Posture Premier was Sealy's low end line.
How long it will last or how it compares to what you have, is something only you will know after you've pulled the trigger.
At the head of the mattress, sewn into one of the seams, is the white "Law" label, which will have the date of manufacture...so you can see exactly how old the mattress is.
It sounds like a bit of a gamble on your part.
Consider an Ever-Eden 2" soft Talalay Latex Mattress Topper instead. This will make your mattress a whole lot more comfortable...and, it will last for many years.
Shown here, delivery is free and there's no sales tax.
These toppers are finished like a mattress, in a taped edged cotton/polyester knit cover.Talalay Latex is a more supple material and is Hypo-Allergenic
