Natura of Canada Greenspring, a Mattress of Old Fashioned, Top Quality.
We are looking for a new mattress. We hate mattress shopping and hate mattress stores, but mostly, we hate mattress salespeople.
They will say anything to make the sale...the truth be damned.
My husband is 6'2" and 220 lbs, I am 5'2" and 120 lbs. In the past we had a Chattam and Wells, for 10 years.
We loved it until it started to sag a bit and we decided to replace it. We replaced in in 2011 with a "Simmons Beautyrest LeBlanc Pl Firm".
It's been 3.5 years and there are significant divots on either side of the bed and a lump in the middle.
My husband sleeps on his back and side and I sleep on my stomach and side.
We both think we prefer firm mattresses, but were disappointing in 2011 to find that not many manufacturers still make a firm mattress.
We went to try out a few mattresses today and laid on three different Klufts and a few different Tempurpedics.
I am curious what you suggest.
Many thanks, Amy
The quality of mattresses has dropped dramatically, over the last 15 years.
Tempurpedic gets great reviews from new buyers, but those tunes change before a year or two has passed.
The memory foam in your mattress is the problem. You'll be experiencing the same disappointment with any mattress upholstered with memory foam.
Memory foam consists of 61 different chemicals and off gasses the fumes from the toxic and carcinogenic chemicals in that foam.
To add insult to injury, you'll spend a lot of money for something that won't last very long.
The warranty is worthless because the memory foam will return when you get off of it...leaving a body impression that is not deep enough to prevail in a warranty claim.
If you're looking for good, old-fashioned quality, we have a line of mattresses, Natura of Canada Greenspring, that you will like and still like many years from now. It what we sleep on at home...with each of us the same weight as your husband.
The coils provide excellent firm support, made of double tempered steel. The upholstery is natural Talalay Latex...far better than memory foam.
The most comfortable of them is the Plush EuroTop. It's comfy, but not too soft.
