Hi, I am 36 years old and suffer from a herniated disk sitting on my sciatica nerve
(L-5 on S-1). I am 5'-4" @ 130 lbs. My husband is 6'-8" @ 290lbs. We have a 10
year old Sealy Posturpedic Crown Jewel mattress that is sagging, and need to buy
a new one. I don't know where to begin! Firm, latex topper???? And do we need to
buy a new box spring, or re-use this with a new mattress?
Please help! :)
Thank you, Shannon
You will need a firm, strong mattress to support a man that size. Adding a latex topper will provide comfort to such a mattress, without sacrificing the support it provides.
Here are links to the mattress I like best for him...and to the toppers. A 2" soft topper does a nice job. And, yes...you have to replace the boxspring too.
