I did the same thing. I purchased a Stearns and Foster Luxury Pillowtop firm Kailin matterss from Mattress Discounters for $2329.00 (where's the discount right) and went home and was in pain nightly for several weeks. We went back to the store and the manager insisted we should by the mattress next to the firm pillowtop call the luxury plush. It was not a pillowtop and I guess i like a european memory foam topper mattress and that is why it is "plush". It was soft and compared to the rock we had slept on for the past 2 weeks anything felt good. It cost us a 10% restocking fee and a $49 dollar delivery fee to exchange it. So several hundred more dollars later the next mattress came to our home. WE hate this one. This eurotop plush sinks in like quicksand. If I use a pillow I wake up with severe neck pain and my body alignment is terrible. There is absolutely no support and it actually is worse that the first one. The firm one could at least be modified with an eggcrate mattress or something to soften it - but the quicksand is money down the drain. We went back to the mattress store and they were rude and told us that we used our one exchange. They stated that they do not run a mattress rental store and just change out mattresses by the night and they do not guarantee comfort. It was too bad for us that we spent $3000.00 and have suffered for 6 weeks in pain over bad recommendations by there staff. The store manager talked us into the 2nd mattress, it was not our choice. They did not care. It is a disaster on many levels.

Hi Vicki,
You bought the model with memory foam, the model with the most complaints. You could have made better choices within the Stearns & Foster line.
As an aside, you should not allow yourself to be "talked into" anything. You placed your trust in sharks. I'd advise not doing that anymore.
